Please also see our Areas of Practice page here.

How do you bill for your legal services?

Depending on the matter, we charge hourly, contingency, or hybrid hourly-contingency based on the nature and potential value of the matter. We also provide corporate clients fixed monthly general counsel services where appropriate.

Do you offer free initial consultation?

Yes. We offer all prospective clients a free initial consultation. However, certain matters (typically corporate litigation where we represent a company) that require additional follow-up consultation may be charged on an hourly basis if additional attorney work is required to evaluate whether a client has a case or not.

What should I provide to you for an initial consultation and/or first meeting?

Before or after an initial consultation, we may ask you to provide us a chronology shared privately with our team and supporting materials. If you have documents you want us to see prior to any initial consultation, let us know and we can discuss how best to do that.

How long do I have to file a lawsuit?

Depending on the nature of the claim and where the case will be filed, you may have only a short amount of time to file a claim (e.g. 6 months to file admin claims against a government in many cases) or you may have longer against other types of defendants. We urge all prospective clients to move quickly and become aware of relevant statutes of limitations while you are interviewing potential firms to represent you.

How much experience do you have?

Our team typically consists of combined experience levels of 40 years or more. We have advanced technical, medical, and scientific experience and extensive experience with cases across multiple jurisdictions including cases involving events overseas that are litigated in the United States.

How long will this process take?

The length and/or lifespan of a civil litigation case is really unique to each case. That said, the average lifespan of a civil matter is somewhere between 18 months to 36 months from start to finish. However, we routinely have cases where the parties can settle the matter at the pre-litigation stage on a much faster timeline. We have also had cases, from time to time, that have longer timelines and where appropriate are prepared for such commitments.
